After 32 years of dedicated service to the Warsaw and surrounding Wyoming County communities, Dr. Mark Barone, is setting his sights on a well-deserved retirement and spending more time with his wife, Laurie, three children and their spouses, and three grandchildren.
Dr. Mark began his career after graduating from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1985. After completing a year long General Practice Residency at Buffalo General Hospital, and practicing as an Associate Dentist at several Buffalo area offices, he settled down in Warsaw in 1988, setting his sights on improving the dental health of this community.
The entire Warsaw and Wyoming county communities benefitted from Dr. Marks dental expertise and passion for learning new dental techniques. Dr. Mark was recently awarded a certificate from the New York State Dental Association for 1500 hours of Continuing Dental Education, an honor he truly cherishes.
Dr. Mark also has a passion for “paying it forward” to his profession. He has volunteered as an active member for 30 years in the local Eighth District Dental Society (which has 900 dentist members in the eight counties of WNY), serving as President in 2006. He has also been teaching dental students as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at UB Dental School since 2012, in which he truly enjoys. Dr. Mark will continue these two endeavors into his retirement.
All of us here at Summit Family Dental Care will miss Dr. Mark, and will never forget his contributions to our practice, patients, staff, and the communities of Warsaw and Wyoming County. Please join us in wishing Dr. Mark all the best in his retirement.
